Welcome to Indigo Onion -BETA-
I am currently working on a project for a new client. It's a complete, from-scratch, design and development brief. The site will include an extensive product portfolio, with pictures, and a custom-built shopping cart system for customers to make their purchases.
The site will be located at http://www.absolutelypink.co.uk/
Finally, after months of being 'closed for refit' (and before that, years of being rubbish), Indigo Onion is back online and ready for action! It's got a new look (well, a slightly new look), a new back-end engine, and hopefully some half-interesting content. The 'BETA' bit means it's all a bit new and untested and there may be some bits that don't work quite as you (or I) would expect. I have a page on which you can report bugs should you come across any.
For more info on exactly what you can find on Indigo Onion, check out the orientation page.
The New Bits
Following a number of changes over that past couple of years, I have finally settle on this new style motivated, in part by my strong belief in complying with web standards and ensuring that my web pages are 'valid'. What you are now looking at is 100% structural, fully valid XHTML being formatted and layed-out purely through valid CSS.
Indigo Onion is now entirely PHP assisted. By that, I mean every page is processed, in some way, by one or more PHP scripts, but it's not a content management system. I've chosen to avoid a database-driven content management system because they put a huge weight on the server and frankly, I don't have enough content to warrent a full content system!
For more info on the evolution of the site and the motivation behind it, please check out the about section.
New Content
I'd like to think that there's loads of good content, but it's probably actually rubbish.
User Options
Sorry, but like the Grolsch, Indigo Onion's User functions are just not ready yet.
